Are Ecover products Organic?

Almost none of the manufactured ingredients Ecover uses are available in an organic version. Organic produce does not even reach 2% of the food market, where its high quality can be optimally appreciated. Organic ingredients offer no advantage to washing and cleaning products which can be seen or otherwise experienced (no better cleaning, no less environmental impact, no better degradation etc.), whereas they would have a huge price impact. Some producers go back to old-fashioned formulations to include some organic ingredients, but Ecover wants to keep up the high performance standards its customers are used to. Nevertheless, Ecover is in favour of organic agriculture as one of the solutions for the future. Ecover follows the developments closely and will gradually switch to organic ingredients when the logistical, financial and technical circumstances allow.
